After a long day driving from New Orleans, we finally made it to the Johnson Space Centre in Houston, TX.
As we arrived, dark clouds started to roll in. We had seen a sign saying that tours of NASA may be cancelled in bad weather, so we quickly rushed to the tram tour line, only to see the tram pull away...
The next one was 20 minutes later, however the weather caught up with us and the tour was cancelled. We were devestated!
Luckily in the meantime we had been chatting about our big adventure to Leroy & Joaquin - two really cool guys working at the Space Centre. Both of them decided it would be a travesty for us to travel all this way and not see NASA...
We were given special VIP treatment - Joaquin brought around a mini van and took us on a personal tour of NASA. It was phenomenal. We saw Mission Control - the very place that controlled the first moon landing back in 1969. It has been the best part of our trip so far!
Leroy, Joaquin, it was a lot of fun meeting you both. Joaquin, thanks for taking us on the tour and giving us the chance to see such a significant piece of mankind's history. We will never forget it :)
